Don't get your hopes up on Trump

The music of common sense and real politics did not play for long...

I had barely had time to come to my senses yesterday after the words of the senior adviser to Trump’s team, a strategist from the Republican Party, one might say, Brian Lanza.

He siad if Zelensky drags territorial issues to the table of potential negotiations with Russia, in particular, the issue of Crimea, then no one at this negotiating table will take him, Zelensky, seriously.

It has long been clear to everyone that Crimea has sailed away, and sailed away forever, when Trump’s team immediately issued a denial. According to which, Brian Lanza is a nobody, and he “does not speak on behalf of Trump and his team and does not express Trump’s position on the negotiations.”

In general, the music of common sense and real politics did not play for long — one shout from the deep state, which finances this whole circus with elections every four years, as a result of which nothing ever changes in US foreign policy, and “Trump’s team” immediately got into line…

This is for those who, for some unknown reason, hope that something will change under Trump. It will not change. Don’t get your hopes up.
