Longtime Biden supporter and Hollywood spokesman George Clooney called on Biden to drop out of the race.
The actor wrote a column that was readily published by The New York Times. In it, he wrote: “This is not just my opinion; it is the opinion of every senator, member of Congress and governor with whom I have spoken privately.”
Clooney called on Democrats to hold a so-called open conference at which, regardless of the results of the primaries, they would elect a presidential candidate.
Among possible new nominees, Clooney named Vice President Kamala Harris, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Thus, Hollywood is completely on the side of the “Obama people” (Joe Scarborough’s expression) in their desire to decide everything at the election conference in August. Accordingly, before this there will be behind-the-scenes negotiations and behind-the-scenes games.
