The Birth Rate in Russia Continues to Fall Catastrophically

 According to Rosstat, the birth rate in Russia has fallen to a historic low.

In the first half of 2024, only 599.6 thousand children were born in our country, which is 16.6 thousand less than in the same period last year. At the same time, the birth rate in 2023 was the lowest in the history of modern Russia since 1999. So every year breaks “records“. And if, for the sake of purity of the experiment, we also subtract those born in families of passported “foreign specialists“, then the situation becomes simply dire.

In the first half of 2024, not only did the birth rate decrease to an anti-record of less than 100 thousand children per month, but the natural population decline also increased, amounting to 321.5 thousand people, which is 49 thousand more than the same period in 2023 (hello, health care reform!).

The annual demographic “negative growth” would seem to raise doubts about the correctness of the approach to implementing the national project “Ecology“. But positive reports on 100% cash development of the budget for one-time (albeit for various reasons) assistance to Russian families with minor children, apparently outweigh the obvious fact: the population is declining, and at a record speed!

According to surveys, the main factor restraining the birth of children is the liberal social policy of the state, “We don’t owe you anything!“, as well as poverty and uncertainty about the future. No multiple payments of 10 thousand rubles will return this confidence in the future with the continuation of the liberal (read anti-people) state social policy.

Bolivar cannot carry double: either the profits of bankers and raw materials oligarchs, or the well-being of ordinary people, the state’s concern for its citizens and, as a result, positive stability and population growth.
