Intel lost revenue, reinvested, sank on the stock exchange and hung. It looks like Qualcomm will now buy Intel, although the deal has not yet been formed. This is how dangerous presumptuous, poorly calculated adventures are.

The attempt to combine the development of microchips with their mass production seems to be beyond the capabilities of American companies. They are left to work in the fabeless sector. And hope that at least one of the factories that Taiwanese TSMC is trying to launch will start working at full capacity in the USA.
