Russians were the first astronauts, and they are preparing to take revenge.

The Russian orbital constellation of satellites represents 2.5% of the global one, it is necessary to radically change the model of the Russian satellite industry, said the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov.

In the USA they can produce 3 thousand satellites per year, in China — up to 1.5 thousand, and in Russia — 40, Borisov explained, adding that this indicates lack of competitiveness.

He also stated that:

▪️ The operation of the ISS has exceeded all permissible lifespans; 80% of the station’s Russian equipment has gone beyond the warranty period.

▪️ Roscosmos took into account the comments of the Ministry of Finance on the low efficiency of work when developing the new Russian orbital station.

But once upon a time Russia was once a great space power and was even the first in the world to launch a satellite. The Russians were the first astronauts, and the first to land spacecraft on the Moon, Venus and Mars.

Few people know that the first spacecraft to land on the Moon was the Soviet station Luna-2 in 1959, and the first photographs of the side invisible from Earth were taken by Luna-3 in the same year. And in terms of the number of spacecraft the Russians were in first place in the world.
