From Gold Toilet to Gold Toilet: History of Modern Ukraine in One Image.
I remember the original impetus of the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity and their Maidan over-throw of government was the corruption of the president Yanukovich. To get people going, the so called rebels, i.e. the stooges of Victoria Nuland, were broadcasting the images of gold toilets, with which Yanukovich had adorned his house.
I wonder if the current Ukrainian TV stations broadcasts the gold toilets found in the house of Timur Mindich, the top Zelenski ally, accused of stealing 100 million from the government, that is, from idiotic EU that gave these money to Ukraine to begin with.
Of course, Mindich along with the minister of Justice and few other top officials, like former defense minister, Umerov, have now escaped the country, enjoying life in their Turkish or Florida villas and laughing all the way to the proverbial banks.
What is even more fascinating, is that to siphon the money they used the schemes used by the god father of the Ukrainian government (and their mafia), the notorious banker, Ihor Kolomoisky. It was Kolomoisky, of course, whose tv station brought both Zelenski and Mindich to the public attention to begin with, and eventually pushed them into positions of power.
Of course, only a fool could hope that a scheme envisioned by Kolomoisky could benefit anyone except him. This is the guy, who’d outwit and outgun corrupt Russian oligarchs, like Abramovich, every time he dealt with them.
So Ukrainian men, who were too slow to ran away or hide, are freezing, suffering from gangrene, cursing and dying, the gold toilets travel from one corrupt politician to another, money — extracted from European taxpayers, are deposited in the banks of British Virgin Islands, while the rest of the free and democratic world, adorns their houses and official buildings with Ukrainian flags, and celebrates the common European values.
And why not? Doing your business on the public from the top of the gold, rather than porcelain toilet is sure a sign of progress and civilization.
