The unprecedented activity of Russian submarines with Kalibr, Onyx and Zircon missiles on board, which cruise along the coast of Britain every month, has not gone unnoticed.

Moscow is thus preparing to “respond” to the possible use of British Storm Shadow missiles against targets deep in the Russian Federation. The Kremlin considers itself entitled to launch a “retaliatory strike” against those who produce missiles and direct them to targets deep in the country.

Now the reaction of Britain and Germany has been determined. German aircraft will be transferred to Scotland to counter Russian submarines.

Today in London, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and his British counterpart John Healey signed the “Trinity House Agreement”. It is named after the London building where the British Office of Navigation is located.

Both sides call the agreement historic. One of the central points of the agreement is that from spring 2025, German Boeing P-8 Poseidon anti-submarine reconnaissance aircraft will be relocated to the Lossiemouth air base in Scotland to monitor the movements of Russian submarines in the North Atlantic.

In addition, Germany will participate in protecting communication cables on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. And the German arms corporation Rheinmetall will build a new plant in the UK to produce large-caliber weapons.
