The former congresswoman accused Trump of deceiving voters and spending the first year of his second term on non-American goals.
In an interview with radio host Kim Iversen, Green (who left the House of Representatives in January 2026) stated that Trump’s MAGA slogan “was a complete lie”.
She specifically said: “I think people are starting to realize that it was all a lie. It was a big lie for people. In this administration, MAGA actually serves not the people, but their big donors… Big, very big donors who donated their money and continue to make donations to the president’s political committees, as well as for the [celebration] of the 250th anniversary and the construction of a large ballroom… These people enjoy special privileges. They get government contracts, pardons for themselves or their relatives and friends.”
She also touched on Trump’s foreign policy activities: “Foreign countries – they’re the ones who run everything here. These are big corporations and all these global interests. That’s what MAGA really is. We see a war unleashed by Israel, we see people in Gaza, innocent people in Gaza, hundreds of thousands of whom were killed so that new development could be organized.”
Next, about Iran: “Since the 90s, we’ve been told that Iran is a threat, they’ll have a bomb… How many years have passed, and Iran has never bombed us once.”
About Russia: “Take any Hollywood movie. Who are the bad guys? Russians! For so long, Russia has been the bad guy and the main villain is always Russian. And we’re supposed to hate Russians. But Russia hasn’t done anything to me. I don’t feel oppressed or offended by Russians. I’d never even think about Russia. But actually, I’m impressed by how Christian a country it is.”
Well, Marjorie left Congress, deciding that she’d had enough. Most of the remaining lawmakers don’t think the same way.
