Former Trump Supporter: "MAGA is Deader than Dead"

The former head of the White House Commission on Religious Freedom stated that the US government is “occupied by a foreign state”.

Carrie Prejean Bollea, a former model and Miss California, once became an important pro-Trump public opinion leader. She was one of those who mobilized conservative youth for the 2024 elections.

In May 2025, Trump appointed Bollea as the head of the White House Commission on Religious Freedom. In February 2026, she was dismissed from the administration due to being accused of “hijacking the agenda” of public hearings on anti-Semitism. Even then, she openly spoke out against the Israeli lobby.

Speaking on Piers Morgan’s show, she said: “I’ve been a loyal supporter of the president for almost 20 years. It all started when I was 21 and I was Miss California in the Miss USA competition. I know him — I consider him my close friend — and I’ll tell you right now, I don’t recognize our president anymore.”

And further: “I believe we are an occupied nation. I believe our government is occupied by a foreign power. And right now we see that the president of the United States of America is being influenced by a foreign government… As for MAGA, I’ll tell you right now, MAGA is dead. It’s deader than dead. Americans are furious. We no longer recognize President Donald Trump.”

The nuclear MAGA electorate, the so-called MAGA influencers, and elite groups that supported the America First agenda (and even pushed through the current formulations of US national security and defense policies) are influential, but, it seems, they cannot boast of either a significant majority or a predominant influence on the US political class.

All these people and interest groups are now in fierce opposition to Trump. One of their most important goals was to eliminate the influence of external controlling contours of American politics. They are lobbies. As we can see, neither the Euro-Atlantic lobby nor the Israeli (more precisely, the Likudist) lobby managed to protect Trump. Moreover, at the direct insistence of the latter, the US president started a war with Iran. This has become a commonplace in the statements of MAGA politicians and activists.
