Rumors that US President Donald Trump has allegedly died have spread online after Vice President J.D.Vance said in an interview that President Trump is in “incredibly good health” but that he, Vance, is ready to take over as commander in chief if necessary.
“Yes, terrible tragedies happen,” Vance told USA Today. “But I have every confidence that the president of the United States is in good shape, will serve out the rest of his term, and will do great things for the American people.
And if, God forbid, a terrible tragedy were to happen, I can’t imagine being better prepared than I’ve been in the last 200 days,” Vance added.
That was enough to get millions of Trump haters excited and start writing “Trump is dead!” on social media. Especially since the White House announced last month that the president had undergone a medical examination for swollen legs and bruises on his arms. The president’s doctor said Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition in people over 70, and Trump is 79.
The White House said the bruise on Trump’s arm was the result of “minor soft tissue damage from frequent handshakes” and regular aspirin use. The same explanation was given after photos of a large bruise on the back of Trump’s right hand were circulated earlier this week.
In short, Trump’s many enemies would very much like to see him go — just like in 2020, when Trump got sick with Covid and the liberal media was preparing to celebrate his death. But like five years ago, they will be disappointed.
But Vance should choose his wording more carefully. Especially when communicating with the jackals of the pen from the liberal media.
