Conservative former congresswoman urges the president’s inner circle to “stop worshipping” him.
After Donald Trump published another ultimatum to Iran on his social media, in which he called the leadership of the Islamic Republic “crazy bastards” and the Strait of Hormuz the “&%$ Strait”, former congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, one of the significant voices of MAGA America, wrote a long post on her microblog, attacking Trump and accusing him of unchristian behavior on Easter (it was Easter for Catholics and Protestants that day).
Greene, in particular, wrote: “Everyone in his administration who calls themselves Christians should fall to their knees and pray to God for forgiveness, stop bowing down to the president, and intervene in Trump’s madness. I know all of you and him too, and he has lost his mind, and you are all involved in this.“
And further: “Our president is not a Christian, and Christians should not support his words and actions. Christians in the administration should strive for peace. Urge the president to peace. Do not incite a war that harms people. This is NOT what we promised the American people when they voted for us by an overwhelming majority in 2024… This is not returning America to greatness, this is evil.”
Essentially, this is the first conscious and direct accusation of President Trump of heresy, evil, false prophecy, and betrayal not only of American interests but also of Christian values.
