This was expected, given the liberal views of the committee members, and yet there is a certain irony in the way the prize controversy was resolved.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize to María Corina Machado, “the leader of the democratic movement in Venezuela.”
So what should Trump do now? Overthrow Maduro and hand over power in Venezuela to María Machado, who has outpaced him? Or give up and leave things as they are? And let the darkness deepen further.
