The US conducted anti-vaccine and anti-doctor campaign in the Philippines.
The goal was to increase the incidence and number of victims and blame China for this.
A Reuters investigative report found that the US waged a secret campaign to discredit vaccines, drugs and the doctors offering them in the midst of the Philippines’ first Covid year.
This operation was carried out under the auspices of the Pentagon. Today it is said that this was retaliation for Beijing blaming Washington for the leak of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in 2020.
However, further developments showed that it was not only and not so much about revenge. The Philippines was consistently divided from the PRC to become part of the anti-Chinese Indo-Pacific bloc.
At first, the Chinese Sinovac vaccine, as well as other medical and related products coming from China, were discredited. But the campaign quickly escalated into fueling general anti-vaccination sentiment and a wave of criticism of doctors. The goal was to increase the number of cases and deaths from Covid-19, in order to then blame China for the crisis and tragedies.
Now think: could the same thing happen anywhere else, not just in the Philippines?
