The person who shot Trump turned out to be a 20-year-old Pennsylvania resident — he published a video on his account where he announced the assassination attempt.
American media publish a photo of a 20-year-old local resident of Pennsylvania, Matthew Crooks. During Trump’s speech, he was 100 meters from the stage, on the roof of a business, with an AR rifle. Some time before the assassination attempt, a video appeared online where Crooks supposedly declared his hatred of Republicans and Trump and announced the murder, but the footage was later deleted.
The shots fired by a gunman on a roof outside the perimeter of Trump’s rally at Butler, Pennsylvania, came a fraction of an inch from being a lot worse.
Police believe there was only one shooter, and his motive has not yet been established. Meanwhile, one of the witnesses to the shooting told the BBC that he saw Crooks a few minutes before the attack.
Moreover, he told the law enforcement officers that there was someone on the roof, but they ignored him. A few minutes after this, shots were heard. One person died, two were injured. Trump suffered a minor ear injury.
