Establishment Media is Disgusting!

Asymmetry? Bias? Propaganda? Reality Distortion?

Call it what you want, but the establishment media is disgusting. Just look at how they cover the dude who wanted to kill Trump and left plenty of evidence behind. The guy been in Ukraine on several occasions. He gave endless interviews and acted as a perfect agent for Ukrainian army trying to recruit some soldiers of fortune to fight for it.

Yet, the Ukrainian connection is barely mentioned when the media describes his arrest and the rest of his escapades. Just imagine a similar situation with two exceptions: a dude would have been in Russia and his target would have been a Democrat rather than Trump. Let’s pause and then imagine, or rather describe the reality. The reports would be filled with “Russia, Russia, Russia.”

The ghosts of election interference, threats to democracy, ties to Russia, and independent investigations would be instantly resurrected. Anne Applebaum and Timothy Snyder would start giving NPR interviews on the subject of Russia’s threat to Everything from A to Z. Not to be outdone, BBC would start interviewing the Guardian correspondent, Luke Softing, on his recent book, Verbovka: How KGB Recruits Useful Western Idiots for their Nefarious Needs. This Luke would go on forever cataloguing all the nasty tricks that KGB and their accomplices had perpetrating on him and other innocent Brits with MI6 connections.

Some newly minted doctor from Oxford and the vice resident of the Royal Institute of Stagecraft and Russophobia, would be explaining Russian methods of disruption and sabotage on the pages of Telegraph and Economist. CNN and Rachel Maddow would get absolutely hysterical investigating minute details of this Texan’s visits to Russia, his contacts, his ties to Russian security, to Kremlin henchman, Prigozhin, to Russian troll factories and so on. And then the politicians would hit the fan.

Calls for additional sanctions, for banning, for parliament and congress hearings would multiply. One eloquent speech would follow another. Churchill, Roosevelt, and John McCain would be quoted. Some Republicans would be paraded on TV, beating their chest and declaring their switch to the victimized and abused Democratic party.

And believe me, this is not an exaggeration. Just the opposite, since I am not fully aware of the endless amount of tricks that State Dept, along with its helpers in security apparatus have up their sleeves. But did anything like that happened in case of this scoundrel, Routh? Not really. All quiet on the western front. Nothing to see here. Just a nutcase from Texas with a gun. What else is new!
