Campaign to Expand Abraham Accords

It is assumed that the "Abrahamic closeness" will allow Jews and Arabs to overcome historical contradictions with the help of the AA.

Netanyahu says victory opens path to expand Abraham Accords.

However, it will not “change the face of the Middle East” anytime soon.

Billboards advertising the idea of creating the “Abrahamic Alliance” (AA) have been actively put up in Israel.

The idea of the alliance is based on the existence of a common ancestor of the Semitic peoples — the biblical prophet Abraham. The same prophet is revered as a spiritual predecessor in Christian religions. This is the same Abraham who was ready to sacrifice his son Isaac to God, but the angel of the Lord stopped him.

It is assumed that the “Abrahamic closeness” will allow Jews and Arabs to overcome historical contradictions with the help of the AA and form a common peaceful Middle East.

The idea of the AA is actively promoted by Donald Trump. In 2020-2021, with US mediation, Israel was able to establish diplomatic relations with Bahrain, the UAE, Morocco and Sudan.

Followed by Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Syria, they began to consider joining these agreements.

Most Arab countries, as well as Turkey and Iran, are still radically opposed. The reason is Israel’s refusal to create a separate Palestinian state based on UN decisions.

After the Israeli-Iranian 12-day war in 2025, it seems that it was decided to intensify efforts to root and expand the AA. But so far this plan does not look promising. The most influential Arab countries (KSA, Egypt, Qatar and Kuwait) are in no hurry to join the alliance.

The military operation of the US-Israel tandem against Iran not only did not bring the Arab giants closer to the idea of the AA, but rather strengthened their doubts and pushed them to additional caution.
