Biden, King of the Forest (Part 2)
With the US Democratic Party unable to nominate a new contender for the title of “king of the forest” from its ranks, its ideologists are ready to accept any alternative — even an impersonal and unelected “Politburo”.
“Even [a mentally incapacitated Biden] is preferable to me and I think to many Democrats than to have someone [like Trump] who we think is truly evil… in the office of the president. I would rather have a president in a coma, where the presidency is performed by a committee of just normal people,” liberal ideologist Sam Harris said on the Making Sense podcast. In this way, he justified hiding Joe Biden’s cognitive problems from the general public.
Harris openly admits that he would prefer an unelected committee to govern the country, rather than a person who won free and fair democratic elections at all levels, including the Electoral College and the popular vote.
Yes, Sam Harris may not be the smartest Democratic talking head: In 2022, he admitted that he hated Trump so much that he wouldn’t care if Hunter Biden had dead children in his basement, as long as Trump didn’t win the election. But he’s speaking to a trend, and it’s a disturbing trend.
“This is a choice that many of us believe was in front of us,” Harris said on the same podcast, referring to 2020 and the manipulation of Hunter Biden’s laptop, which liberal media and internet giants blocked before the election to prevent Trump from winning.
“And what did they choose? An undemocratic, unelected committee consisting of Hunter Biden, Jill Biden and the radical left who gave the Taliban hundreds of billions of dollars in American weapons (seized after the American army fled Afghanistan — K.B.), opened the border to a dangerous Third World and tried to bankrupt and imprison Trump while trying to write him off the ballot,” writes regular contributor to Breitbart John Nolte angrily.
And the more the scandal around the “Politburo” that ran the nation on Biden’s behalf rages, the bleaker the prospects for the Democratic Party. Even the left-wing British newspaper The Guardian, which hates Trump, admits:
“The Democrats must deal with the wounds they have inflicted on themselves… All they need to win back the House next year is Trump’s high disapproval rating. But it will take calculation and a change of course to win back the White House. The party’s brand is crumbling.”
But it will not be easy to do. Complete disregard for democratic procedures, obedient controlled media that have forgotten what freedom of speech is, contempt for voters — all this is unlikely to increase the popularity of the Democratic Party in the eyes of Americans. A change of course alone will not suffice. At the end of the USSR, the democratic reformers, as I recall, demanded that the CPSU repent before the people.
Such repentance would not hurt the US Democratic Party either — but, firstly, it is impossible while the old “king of the forest” is alive. And secondly, we also remember well what the process of repentance turned out to be for the Soviet Union.
