What Exactly is AI?

AI — what is it: a business adventure or a tool for Schwab and Co. to drive humanity under complete control in its purest form?

Experts in the digital segment claim that not a single large company specialized in the development of AI as a business project has publicly presented either a medium-term development plan or a concept for monetizing its projects. Moreover, there are not even any clear projections of intentions or at least an idea of the future in the world of artificial intelligence in the public arena.

Meanwhile, there are official statistics showing interesting dynamics of capital expenditures in AI at Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta and Oracle from 2014 to 2025 (forecast). It all started with a relatively small 23.7 billion US dollars (2014), in 2020 it is already about 100 billion, in 2024 the amount of investment has grown by almost 2.5 times.

Given the stated intentions of key companies, planned investments for 2025 may exceed 350 billion. In total, accumulated capital expenditures over the past 3 years by the end of 2025 will amount to about 750 billion US dollars. If we add to this the costs of electricity, the wage fund for very expensive AI specialists, marketing and other current expenses, then the total costs over the past 3 years will definitely exceed 1 trillion dollars with an exponentially growing trajectory.

At the same time, experts estimate the annual revenue (2025) of the largest AI providers at 40 billion with a growth potential of about 100 billion in 2028. And this is revenue from AI, not profit. All talk about return on investment comes down to the fact that “it’s cool” and lengthy discussions about how AI is our future.

It is obvious that from a business point of view, there is no return on investment for the trillion invested and none is expected, including in future periods. And more and more money will be needed. Hundreds of billions a year can become trillions.

But if from a business point of view, AI projects are ineffective and there is no model that would show this efficiency even in future periods, then why does the AI industry continue to maintain a crazy pace of development, especially in conditions of high competition?

Only one answer comes to mind: this is not a business project. And show at least one commercial bank that will finance such a large innovative project without understanding the model of return on investment and timing.

But Finintern can do it, solving completely different problems – driving humanity into a digital concentration camp as part of the transition to so-called inclusive capitalism or digital neo-feudalism. And for this purpose, financial globalists can spend as much money as they want, because the Fed is in their hands.

So the development of AI and its accelerated integration into everyday life has nothing to do with making a profit, but is aimed at other strategic dividends. And people will not like it. It is worth thinking about.
