There Was a Woman in the Beginning

The first important appointment made by newly elected US President Donald Trump has put to shame those who called him a misogynist.

Two days after his victory, Trump appointed Susan Summerell Wiles (born 1957) as the future new White House Chief of Staff, who will become the first woman in US history to occupy this influential position. Susan Wiles (“Iron Susie”) spent her entire life as a Republican apparatchik, first shining as a planner for Ronald Reagan’s successful presidential campaign in 1980.

Then for years she helped mayors, senators, congressmen, governors get elected — always from the same, Republican Party, which corresponded to her own political views.

Wiles has worked for Trump since the 2016 presidential election. She went through the whole path in his team, including trials — total persecution in the media and attempts to fabricate criminal charges. In 2021, Wiles headed Trump’s PAC (fund) “Save America”, and in 2024 she headed the election headquarters of the newly elected president.

Now Susan Wiles will move to the White House, which will naturally crown her unique long-term career as an experienced and loyal apparatchik.
