Limits of Happiness

“Nothing in life is perfect. Except for a lucky few…”

What can be better than an endless holiday? Waking up every morning you understand that there is nothing more to do than to just enjoy yourself.

That was the thinking of a creepy monkey-like creature. Every day is a celebration and in the best traditions of it. Music, dance, a total and complete blast!

But there is something disturbingly wrong with this whole idea of eternal holiday. At some point all the joy and excitement starts falling to pieces even for our fun junkie.

Presuming that the creature loves the frightening, dirty, gloomy place it lives in, it is obvious that things start getting weird here. Firsts of all, having fun by yourself, with no one around is not actually fun. The main problem is that fun is good for one’s health only in limited portions. An overdose can lead to serious mental issues. And this is exactly what happens to the creature. It is so easy to feel sorry for the poor lonely guy. He is cute, extremely likable, but he is not the good guy here.

The grotesque story, bright colors, great music makes the film “Stuck On a Sunday” quite fun in itself. But it displays the message eloquently enough. Life is a big thing, full of so many emotions and so many opportunities. Locking yourself in a Sunday-mode looks more like a limited theatre play and will eventually bore anyone.
