Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Western countries have always sought to break up Russia.
“The spearhead is aimed, at this stage, against Russia. As the president said in February in his address to the Federal Assembly, instead of Russia they need a dependent, fading, dying space where they can do whatever they want. Well, in general, for this purpose they have assembled a coalition of about 50 countries in order to try to dismember Russia, among other things. Napoleon and Hitler, who put almost all of Europe under arms, did this, and it was not only the Germans who committed atrocities. It is clear that the essence of Western policy towards our country has always been that we are too strong and independent, something must be done about this, preferably by breaking us up,” Lavrov said on Monday, September 2, speaking at MGIMO.
But if the leadership of the Russian Federation understands this, then why did it do and is doing everything possible and impossible to facilitate the collapse and division of thousand-year-old Russia?
Why was the largest deindustrialization of the country in world history deliberately carried out?
Why was the combat capability of the Russian army deliberately reduced through ill-conceived (or perhaps well-conceived?) so-called reforms, which was clearly demonstrated by the special military operation in Ukraine and the invasion of the Ukrainian army into the Kursk region?
Why was an insane foreign policy deliberately carried out, as a result of which the Russian Federation was left without allies and friends, finding itself in international isolation?
Why was Russian fundamental and applied science deliberately destroyed, which led to Russia lagging behind scientifically advanced countries for several decades?
And many, many other “Why?”…
