This is a note for Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova… and a number of other countries that are looking for a state project and strategy adequate to the 21st century.
Vietnam fought for a very long time. Until the mid-twentieth century, it was a colony of France for almost a century. During World War II — under Japanese occupation. After 1945, he went through three (3) Indochina wars, fighting not only with the United States and its allies, but also with almost all of its direct and regional neighbors (including China, Australia and New Zealand).
And approximately from the mid-1980s (ironically, under the influence of the ideas of Perestroika in the USSR and the reforms of Deng Xiaoping of the People’s Republic of China), Vietnam STOPPED WAR and switched to the “policy of renewal” (“Doi Moi”).
Over the course of several decades of this course, a miracle of great transformation took place. The country has risen from ruins, from jungles scorched by napalm, from hopeless poverty, from dust, dirt and from the eternal senseless bustle for the sake of a short survival.
Today, Vietnam is a development leader among ASEAN countries. He has a “strategic comprehensive partnership” SIMULTANEOUSLY with Russia and the United States. Normalized relations with China (even though there was a war in 1979, territorial disputes remained), as well as with both Koreas. Vietnam today is one of the most attractive investment sites in Asia. According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, nearly 65,000 foreign firms entered the Vietnamese market in the first five months of 2024 alone, a world record.
The main industries attracting new businesses were transport and warehousing, wholesale, retail trade, automobile and motorcycle repair; production and distribution of electricity, water and gas.
The average authorized capital per enterprise was more than $365,500, up 1.2 percent from the same period in 2023. Who are his main customers? Vietnam’s main export partners are former military adversaries: USA — 20.6%, China —19.2%, Japan — 6.7%.
Idiots and maniacs of all countries are now feverishly uniting in order to quickly burn the planet in a world war.
And Vietnam, having suffered more real war than all of them combined, found itself, its place and its path to prosperity. It’s time for countries searching for themselves to replace idiots with those who are able to study history.
