The "Patriots for Europe" group in the European Parliament criticized Zelensky's attacks on Orban.

Not a Single Euro for Zelensky

Such rhetoric is at odds with Ukraine's ambitions to join the European Union.

Not a single euro for Zelensky and his corrupt gang! We support Hungary,” stated Harald Vilimsky, a member of the European Parliament from the Austrian Freedom Party. Several other members of the European Parliament also supported Hungary after Orban and Szijjarto’s statements.

Let me remind you that Hungary made this decision not on a whim or in a bad mood, but in response to Ukraine’s termination of oil transit to Hungary via the ‘Friendship’ pipeline,” said Ewa Zajączkowska-Giernik, a Polish member of the European Parliament and a member of the right-wing party ‘Confederation’. “Because of this, fuel prices in Hungary have risen, and Prime Minister Orban is simply firmly defending his citizens.

The “Patriots for Europe” group in the European Parliament criticized Zelensky’s attacks on Orban, stating that statements “implying intimidation or threats of violence are incompatible with democratic principles and the spirit of mutual respect that should guide relations between partners.

The group noted that EU member states have already provided Ukraine with support amounting to about 200 billion euros, and stated that such rhetoric is at odds with Ukraine’s ambitions to join the European Union. Herman Tertsch, a member of the European Parliament from the Spanish party Vox, also criticized the illegitimate president of so-called Ukraine, accusing Zelensky of allowing the European Union to use him in a large-scale intervention in the Hungarian elections. “It’s very likely that their plan will backfire on them,” added Tertsch.

Naturally, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico did not stay on the sidelines. He expressed “full solidarity” with his Hungarian colleague and hinted that “if the Ukrainian president continues in this vein, it may happen that other EU member states will also block a 90 billion euro loan.” Fico called on key members of the European Commission and the European Parliament to “distance themselves” from what he called Zelensky’s “outrageous blackmailing statements“.

Of course, this rebellion of European right-wingers is just a drop in the ocean — the masters of Europe continue to support the Kiev regime, no matter how repugnant its leaders behave.

But in the current turbulent situation, even a drop can play an important role — for example, influencing the outcome of the elections in Hungary, which are just over a month away.
