Trump promises to add to the 25th amendment and liquidate the department of education.

He also confirmed that his administration will have a government efficiency commission headed by Elon Musk Speaking at a campaign event at a central Wisconsin airport, Donald Trump made a series of statements that he says will define his second term in the White House.

Trump promised to “reform” the 25th Amendment to the Constitution. This amendment streamlines the process of replacing the vice president, as well as the temporary and permanent removal of the current president. Such removal, according to the current version of the amendment, is possible only if the vice president and key members of the cabinet are in a position to do so.

Trump targeted the mechanism for triggering the amendment. At the rally, he said: “I will support amending the 25th Amendment to make it clear that if the Vice President lies or conspires to cover up the incapacity of the President of the United States, if you do that with the President of the United States, that is grounds for immediate impeachment and removal from office, because that is what they did.” Trump also promised to abolish the US Department of Education, completely transferring all of its functions and powers to state authorities.

Both of these proposals are unlikely to be implemented, since they require the support of both a majority in Congress (including a supermajority) and a majority of states. At the rally, Trump also confirmed that his administration will include a commission “on the effectiveness of the federal government” headed by Elon Musk. Donald Trump can certainly do this. All he needs to do is return to the White House.

The 45th US President said that there will be a place in his new administration for Robert Kennedy Jr., who recently dropped out of the race (as an independent candidate) and supported Trump’s candidacy. The exact position was not named, but, according to Trump, “Bobby will be actively involved in the work of a group of experts who will investigate the causes of the rise in chronic health problems and childhood diseases.”
