"Sexual orientation" does not include physical or sexual attachment of an adult to children.

Tim Walz is Accused of Legalizing Pedophilism in Minnesota

The phrase excluding pedophilia from the definition of protected sexual orientation has disappeared from the law.

And also of “kidnapping” children for gender reassignment. None of this is entirely true, but the law passed in 2023 is the height of liberal violence against everything human.

Tim Walz is currently under constant “fire” from Trumpists. One of the lines of attack on Walz was the Minnesota law (where Walz has been governor since 2019), passed in 2023 and designed to “protect” the LGBT community.

In particular, it guaranteed “gender-affirmative therapy” for teenagers and prohibited discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Gender-affirmative therapy is a set of measures aimed at first blocking the sexual development of a teenager, and then changing his gender. In Minnesota, such “therapy” is guaranteed to a child, even if the parent is against it. Including if the child arrived from another state.

Conservatives have called this law the “kidnapping law.” A teenager who ends up in Minnesota may end up in court with a guardian appointed by social services, and with his consent, “therapy” will be carried out.

In addition, in so-called “emergency cases,” the court makes a decision in the absence of a guardian or against his will. De jure, a parent from another state loses custody of the child and cannot influence his decisions in any way. This is the essence of “kidnapping.”

In Minnesota, as in many other liberal states, teachers, psychologists and social workers see in any psychological crisis of a teenager (that is, every day) signs of so-called “gender dysphoria.” In general, parents, do not go for a walk with your children to Minnesota…

Another name for the 2023 law is the “law on the legalization of pedophilia.” Of course, pedophilia is not legalized in the law. But there is something strange about it and the history of its adoption. Since the law guarantees protection against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, it is necessary to define both. And here is where the fun begins.

The original version of the bill stated: “Sexual orientation” means having or being perceived as having an emotional, physical, or sexual attachment to another person regardless of that person’s gender, or having or being perceived as having an orientation toward such attachment, or having or being perceived as having a self-concept or identity that is not traditionally associated with biological masculinity or femininity.

“Sexual orientation” does not include physical or sexual attachment of an adult to children.” The last phrase was added to the text because without it, pedophiles could also be protected. And then Minnesota Assemblyman Leigh Finke (a transgender person) intervened and offered his own version of the definition, in his words “more concise.” In fact, Finke did not like the inclusion of references to masculinity and femininity in the text. But something happened with the exclusion of pedophilia from sexual orientation.

Here is the definition in the law signed by Walz: “‘Sexual orientation’ means having or being perceived as having an emotional, physical, or sexual attachment to another person regardless of that person’s gender, or having or being perceived as having an orientation toward such attachment.” And that’s it. The phrase excluding pedophilia from the definition of protected sexual orientation is gone. Who insisted on this and why is unknown, but the fact remains: Tim Walz signed the law in this form.

Two things are clear. First, liberals like Walz will never get along with conservatives. Second, “kidnapping” and “pedophilia” are now stuck with Walz, and it will be very difficult to fix.
