"FBI Agitators" Were at Capitol Riot

The presence of undercover FBI agents in the crowd of participants in the "Capitol riot" has long been referred to as a "conspiracy theory".

On Saturday, US President Donald Trump launched a new attack on the FBI, claiming that hundreds of undercover agents were secretly present during the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021.

This contradicts all the statements made by the Bureau and the Department of Justice at the time.

According to sources from Blaze News, there were 274 FBI undercover agents in the crowd during the events at the Capitol and inside it, which clearly contradicts the statements made at the time.

The absence of FBI agents was also mentioned in the Inspector General’s report of the Department of Justice, published in 2024. The report stated in clear English: “In the materials we reviewed and the testimonies we obtained, we did not find any evidence that the FBI had undercover agents in various protest locations or at the Capitol on January 6.”

In general, the deployment of undercover agents in crowds during mass events is a common practice among local and federal law enforcement agencies. However, the event, which was described as a “riot” (which was not reflected in the indictments against the participants) and an “attempt on democracy,” has become very important and symbolic for U.S. political life.

The presence of undercover FBI agents in the crowd of participants in the “Capitol riot” has long been referred to as a “conspiracy theory” and a “common lie spread by the right.” Additionally, the official denial of the presence of agents in the crowd (including during congressional hearings) has somewhat altered the narrative. And it raises legitimate questions: why was it hidden? What were the agents doing in such numbers on January 6, 2021, and what were their assigned tasks?

In fact, this is exactly what Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social network:
“It was just revealed that the FBI had secretly placed, against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards, 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax. This is different from what Director Christopher Wray stated, over and over again! That’s right, as it now turns out, FBI Agents were at, and in, the January 6th Protest, probably acting as Agitators and Insurrectionists, but certainly not as “Law Enforcement Officials.” I want to know who each and every one of these so-called “Agents” are, and what they were up to on that now “Historic” Day. Many Great American Patriots were made to pay a very big price only for the love of their Country. I owe this investigation of “Dirty Cops and Crooked Politicians” to them! Christopher Wray, the then Director of the FBI, has some major explaining to do. That’s two in a row, Comey and Wray, who got caught LYING, with our Great Country at stake. WE CAN NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN TO AMERICA AGAIN!”

And here’s the problem: James Comey has been charged with perjury in Congress, a rather hasty accusation. This charge will be difficult to maintain. However, the investigations that would have made sense to support the second Trump administration’s message (“bringing the deep state to justice”) are still not being conducted. Not to mention the fact that no one has been arrested, either from the group that handled the “Russian case” or from those who “rolled up” the participants in the events of January 6, “sweeping under the rug” the fact that there were many undercover agents in the crowd, and the police somehow very calmly allowed the protesters to enter the doors of the Capitol building. In short, there are no purges. There are only accusations of “authoritarianism” and “usurpation of power” against Trump himself.

It’s like if Tsar Ivan IV signed decree after decree, introduced the oprichnina only formally, and in Moscow, Tver, and other cities, the boyars spit on the tsar’s authority. Or like if Lincoln proclaimed a new policy and called the Southerners “enemies of the people,” but in the hands of these very Southerners, would be Maryland and half of Washington, and the president’s envoys would be kicked out of the southern states, calling Lincoln himself a criminal.
