Under such a heading appeared a warning material from the Press Bureau of the SVR of Russia.
According to the material, a group of Euro-NATO countries has concentrated a military contingent on the territory of Romania and is preparing to introduce it into Moldova to retain control over the country.
The intervention is expected after the parliamentary elections on September 28. They are already ILLEGITIMATE in view of the complete anti-legal suppression of the quite legal opposition forces by the authorities. After the planned vote rigging, protests are expected, which will serve as a pretext for a military operation.
The SVR’s article also mentions a “backup” scenario. If there are no significant protests following the September 28 election fraud, the November 30 elections for the Supreme Council of the unrecognized Transnistria Republic could serve as another reason for the deployment of foreign troops.
The article does not disclose which countries’ military units are preparing for an intervention in Moldova.
In any case, the activation of an old military hotbed in a territory where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is present is extremely dangerous. Events may develop according to the “Georgian model” of 2008. European military personnel will have no legal basis to appeal to NATO’s status.
