The White House said Columbia has agreed to its terms, including unlimited admission of illegal migrants, including on US military flights.
White House press secretary Carolyn Leavitt did not give a special briefing. Her statement was sent to major US media outlets via email.
The statement reads:
“The Government of Colombia has agreed to all of President Trump’s terms, including the unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia returned from the United States, including on U.S. military aircraft, without restriction or delay.
Based on this agreement, fully prepared tariffs and sanctions under the IEEPA remain on standby but will not be signed unless Colombia violates this agreement.

Visa sanctions imposed by the State Department and enhanced Customs and Border Protection inspections will remain in effect until the first planeload of deportees from Colombia is successfully returned.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio previously said that the sanctions target “all involved” Colombian government officials and their families. The sanctions include the suspension of visas for entry into the United States and other restrictions.
The first stage of the war of threats was left to Trump. But this is not a sprint, but a long run. Demarches are predicted regarding Venezuela and Cuba. However, it seems that Panama should prepare.
