They say that 3 or even all 6 million people took to the streets against Trump’s policies.
The organizers of the No Kings protest write on their website about an “illegal, catastrophic war” that threatens Americans. “This is America, and power belongs to the people, not to king-puppets or their billionaire buddies,” the statement reads.
In this regard, I would like to note the following:
First, and most importantly. American friends! If you haven’t noticed, it is not America, but almost the entire world that belongs precisely to king-puppets, mere kings, and their billionaire buddies. More accurately, in reverse order: the billionaire buddies place the king-puppets there and then when they need to.
Second, and also important. Expressing dissatisfaction is normal. But if you expect that 6-million-person demonstrations will somehow influence the billionaire buddies, think again.
They have long cared nothing for 6 million or 26 million fellow citizens who are dissatisfied about something or other.
Bourgeois democracy, lying at the foundation of the USA (and not only), clearly and materially shows throughout all of history: Power is property.
The billionaire buddies have accumulated so much property that they simply own whole countries with all their insides.
Consequently, the old demonstrations of the people-voters have lost all effectiveness, since the people-voters, compared to the 1% of the truly wealthy, are almost completely deprived of property, and therefore — of power.
Third. A return to the “old ways” of bourgeois democracy is impossible. No matter how much you rally.
This requires not just removing the under-kings and their billionaire buddies, but a total decentralization of the economy. At present, this is a regression of such a scale that it could only be compared to a shift from developed capitalism directly to early feudalism during the period of the disintegration of the tribal system.
That is, straight from the 18th century into the 8th century.
Therefore, think about what is more valuable to you: real popular sovereignty or scare stories about monstrous communists.
In this regard, the prophetic film Watchmen and the dialogue between the young and old Night Owls come to mind:
– But we voted for Nixon!
– Remember what times it was! Either Nixon or the communists.
As long as you live in a system of false dichotomy, all demonstrations, no matter how massive they may be, are devoid of real prospects.
