What is Russian Civilizational Nationalism?

Our subject of Russian history is the state-forming people and the political nation.

The Russian people exist as a political nation, and it is precisely due to the characteristics of their national principles that they have always been able to rally people of other ethnic identities around themselves. For example, in Alaska, the Aleuts always settled closer to Russian settlements than to Anglo-Saxon ones. This is because they were accepted on equal terms, as their own.

The fact is that the possibility of the existence of a solidary civil political nation, created by the Russian people, is determined by the typical features of our national principles.

First and foremost, it’s not individualism, like in Western principles, but collectivism.

Not aggression as a principle of interaction with all other nations, but mercy.

Not materialism and the American dream, that is, getting rich at any cost, but contemplation and a great need for spiritual reflection on one’s existence.

And from this follows the main, fundamental conclusion:

Russia is a unique Country-Civilization, not a part of Western civilization.

Our driving force is the energy of the people’s creative forces. It should be preserved and strengthened, not squandered. And this is only possible when all the main spheres of people’s life are in harmony.

Borrowings are permissible, but mainly in the theoretical-scientific and technical-industrial spheres.

However, the organization of the socio-economic sphere must be unique and correspond to the aspirations and demands of our national principles.

The natural course of our development was once broken by the Petrine Eurocentric revolution. The upper class changed the Russian national principles, became Russian Europeans and established a regime of serfdom, that is, de facto slave ownership.

There was a long period of coexistence of the people and the alienated elite in conditions that did not contribute to the spiritual development of either of them. Both the slave owners and the slaves degraded together, but each for their own reasons.

Because, if the socio-economic system does not correspond to the national principles of a given type of civilization, degradation begins.

This is why the revolutions of the 20th century and much else happened.

Today, Russian Civilizational Nationalism simply means a return to our own foundations and the restoration of a solidary political nation on Russian national principles.

In order to build a just social state in forms that suit our cultural-historical type.
