Shenderovich Moral Dilemma

Viktor Shenderovich wrote a post about what he thinks about the murder of a pregnant woman in the Kursk region.

There is nothing unexpected in it: you – Russians rejoiced at the war, so there. This is about collective responsibility, because Viktor Anatolyevich does not know whether this particular woman rejoiced. But within the framework of collective responsibility — her death is unpleasant, but natural.

A thin layer of civilization is impossible without the concept of individual responsibility. When it comes to collective, this is that blissful, primitive state of mind on the basis of which pogroms, genocides, and so on occur. But, of course, it is very important to provide a basis.

In this case, the basis is precisely the ideologeme that Russians, almost without exception, except for a few bright-faced chosen ones, rejoice at the Russo-Ukrainian war, the death of Ukrainians, etc.

Probably, he saw something like this on social networks, there you can find almost everything, on any topic, plus an inner conviction that nothing good can be expected from Russians. Personally, I have never met anyone who rejoiced. Not once, not a single one. They have to be invented to justify their hatred of former compatriots.

A pregnant woman was killed because her car was shot at, quite deliberately, clearly understanding that there were civilians in it, by Viktor Anatolyevich’s comrade in the fight against Putin — a scumbag and a murderer. This does not mean that all fighters against Putin are scoundrels. Of course not — this is far from the case.

For example, I have no doubt that Pavel Kushnir, who died in prison because of several videos in which he tried to convey something to all 5 of his subscribers, was a decent person. It seems to me that if he found out that they are now trying to cover up the deliberate murder of a pregnant woman with his name, he would be extremely saddened.

Because decency and ideas about collective responsibility are the same oxymoron as a chaste whore or humanitarian bombings.

Actually, nothing surprising is happening. The old, old misunderstanding that people are divided, first of all, not into nations, including warring ones, not into interest groups, not into fighters for this and that, but into those who understand what personal responsibility is, before God, people, they understand because they themselves have it.

And into those who hide behind ideas, generalizations, words, innocent victims, in order to build another concept of collective responsibility.

They think about personal responsibility that it is transmitted through white and other coats, manifestos, the conviction that you are on the side of good and do not worry at all about this.
